| "He's a kid at heart," said Don Cohen, vice
president of marketing for Annabelle's. Therefore, when Palosky
was given the opportunity to purchase the store from Alex
David, who had opened the store 12 years ago, located on the
Portsmouth waterfront on Ceres Street, Palosky purchased the
name and the Portsmouth store as well as the opportunity to
provide the product to 10 shops. When asked why Palosky decided
purchase the store, Cohen said, literally the opportunity
just came up."
The store opened for the summer season Wednesday.
The owner held a pre-opening tasting party Tuesday giving
guests the opportunity to sample any more than a dozen flavors
ranging from the more standard vanilla chocolate chip to the
cookies and cream, chocolate chip cookie dough monster, cashew
caramel cluster, mocha mud pie, and Swiss chocolate avalanche.
The new owners said people will see little difference in
the taste of ice cream.
The owners will be refocusing on the store itself, hoping
ice cream is a big seller this tourist season.
