Letter Four - Ice Cream is important.
Dear Mr. Palosky,
Now that the annual fireworks are over I can write to you the letter
I have put off. A few weeks ago as we were returning from Down East
we stopped for ice cream at a little spot on the rotary, the name
of which I cannot recall. My wife had a large chocolate, can’t
remember what my son had, but I’ll never forget the strawberry.
Your strawberry is the finest there is, bar none! And you know
that New Englanders are experts in ice cream. This is absolutely
the best strawberry there is. The consistency is perfect, not thin,
and not gummy. Words fail me.
Please accept my personal thanks for the Best of the Best. Of
course, we have access to a bunch of the big names in ice cream,
and we have Charlie’s made here in the back of his stand in
Woodbury. But there is nothing anywhere in our experience to match
up to the taste and texture of Annabelle’s. It is certain
that Annabelle’s Ice Cream is important to all those who have
ready access to a source. And for those of us who don’t have
that ready access, we’ll just have to make the trip.
Thanks for caring about those of us who appreciate the best.
Sincerely,
Peter Nelson
